Well, this week marks week nine of social distancing, stay at home orders, and online lessons. Not to mention the abundance of online grocery orders that have been placed, but that’s a story for another time. :)

Even with this “new” normal that we are all experiencing and the uneasiness regarding the future, there are silver linings.

We aren't just sharing music, we are sharing smiles too!

Despite everything that has been going on in the world, it has been a great joy to still connect with my students virtually. Covid-19 has reaffirmed for me the importance of connecting with my students. Knowing this pushes me to think creatively as an educator, and allows me the opportunity for continued growth while helping my students cope with the current situation. In times of struggle and uncertainty we often turn to music for comfort. I’m grateful that I can help my students find a bright spot in their day, whether it be during a lesson, a practice session, or by encouraging them to take a moment to enjoy some tunes.
